Upon arriving at that magical industrial estate in Northampton, the carpark rumours from the first day were that Tom smashed it, but qualified 2nd just behind Simon Woodstock, who slid on a crate, kickflipped his shoes off, the lot! I was absolutely buzzing that two of my favourites were in the house and on form!
Im not sure if his crate was sabotaged or shoes were too tight but Simon's runs didnt quite come together in the finals hence his lack of footage here. But its was awesome to see that crazy genius in person.
Talking of crazy geniuses, Mr Penny's runs DID come through. He absolutely destroyed the place. Casually taking first place on his home turf.
Epic contest, from roughly 22 years ago.
Thank you to anyone who helped make these contests a reality, and giving us kids events to look forward to.
